The backdrop could not be more beautiful. The air was filled with excitement as our families and friends arrived by train and taxi from all over the world to Villa Pitiana in Donnini, Italy. The sun set over the Tuscan hills as we ate a delicious spread of pizza, fruit, pasta, salad, and drank local wine and beer. Our guests mingled and made heartfelt toasts. This was the start of the best celebration we could've imagined.
It was so special for me to wear the cotton eyelet and lace wedding dress that my mom wore when she married my dad 30 years ago.
Look how cute they are. When my mom bought the dress in 1984, it was already vintage. So glad she kept it for all these years!
The people and surroundings, sounds and smells, stories and laughter... perfection. A great evening to kick off the wedding. Stay tuned for Part II, the wedding day festivities!
Many thanks to our outstanding photographer and dear friend, Katrina Perry.
