DAY 3: The morning of the wedding, I hopped out of bed and rushed to the breakfast room. As a true breakfast lover (especially on vacation), this was one of my favorite parts of Villa Pitiana - each table full of chatting friends and loved ones, enjoying the strongest Italian coffee and typical European spread. A little later, all the girls met in the honeymoon suite to get ready. So fun. The girls brought the champagne, the godmother and auntie brought the lunch, and the mom brought the hairspray. The sound of blow dryers and tunes by Fitz & The Tantrums filled the air as we primped.
I love velcro rollers (even though they look ridiculous) and used them to add body before my mom did my up-do. I felt like a little girl again, having my mom braid, tease and pin up my hair, but loved every minute of it. And with the help of my sister, Caroline, I did my best to recreate the look from the lesson by the master makeup artist, Cori, at Vanity Lounge back in Houston.
